Return

Background

Return is a nonprofit organization that hosts transformative gatherings, fosters knowledge, and unites a global community. Their mission is to shape a values-based community that transcends borders, races, socio-economic status, and religions.

At the Architect Salon held in the scenic Esalen Institute, Big Sur, California, I had the privilege of being the lead graphic designer and providing event support.

Lead Graphic Designer: Logo, print & social. Event support

Timeline: August 2021 - October. 2021
Location: Esalen Institute | Big Sur, California

Role & process

Working closely with Return's founder, Zach Bell, I refined the logo and translated the brand identity into refined designs, materials, and digital marketing assets.

Inspired by Taoism, our logo symbolizes an outer circle expressing the interconnectedness of all life. Not complete, not perfect, but round. It represents an ongoing journey of growth and evolution.

The Architect Salon explored the unique influences and philosophies that have shaped our global cultural movement. Together, we examined counter-culture revolutions, decentralized internet networks, new myths, and emergent global politics. Our aim was to understand how each of us can continue to advance this movement and create systemic change.
